Duty vs. Freedom - Full Gear.

First of all, Cailean ('s character) represents Duty, and Torturer ('s character) represents Freedom. Now, I'm not too sure about how their characters would be like, if they were S.T.A.L.K.E.R. characters from the very start, but I think that Cailean would be a determined ex-special unit operative, who is holding some certain personal grudge torwards Zone, as well as a personal duty to help the weak along the way, whereas Torturer might be an ex-journalist, who has gone to extreme means to provide general public with real facts on the Zone, the Monolith, as well as to expose the truth behind Duty's active propaganda, despite any opposition from the Military and Duty. 

But let's leave the character development to their original authors, shall we? However, I would like to further expand a bit, regarding their equipment.

This role model high-rank soldier of Duty wields 3 weapons: the SVD Dragunov sniper rifle, RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenade launcher and a Walther P99 sidearm. The heavy weight of these weapons are equally distributed for the ease of movement, thanks to Cailean's PS5-M universal protection body suit with two double-slot artifact containers and the Varyag battle support system, which helps with automatic treatment of wounds, as well as giving additional ease of movement, provided by the Ion Wind air filters and special fiber exoskeleton, which is sewed into the battle suit. In addition, Cailean uses two Goldfish artifacts to gain more strength for carrying his heavy equipment, and two Bubble artifacts to deal with the negative effects of internal (the artifact-induced) and external (environment-induced) radioactivity. Cailean's mask has been fine-tuned to prevent the radioactive particles, as well as most of the lethal gasses (including Perin B3), from reaching his respiratory system.

This well-known Freedom operative is always having his sleeves full of tricks for the element of surprise on the battlefield. Apart from his trusty pump-action shotgun with a flashlight (which can be switched to infrared light and seen only by Torturer's infrared goggles for sneaky action in the night), H&K USP 45 Compact (along with the silencer), Torturer utilizes his RG-6 six-shot revolver type grenade launcher, which can be used to fire various kinds of grenades: standard frag, HE, flare, smoke, incendiary, tear gas, toxic gas, stun grenades and even the secret type of Freedom-only produced grenades, which contain various psyche-destabilizing gasses to confuse, temporarily impair or turn his opponents against one another. Torturer likes to choose the ammo for the RG-6 at random, which makes him quite an unpredictable and unforeseen foe for Duty, Military, Mercenaries and Monolith alike, but an efficient fighter for Freedom. For further element of surprise addressed especially to his long-time rival Cailean, Torturer utilizes five Battery artifacts, which turn Cailean's lightning attacks worse for Cailean himself, as this combination of artifacts help to repair Torturer's damaged armor whenever the Freedom operative wears them in a belt. As well, Torturer has another separate 5-chamber artifact belt of five Moonlights, which, although making Torturer extremely vulnerable to lightning, are giving Torturer the power of never becoming tired, therefore allowing him to sprint and do quick evasive maneuvers for an indefinite period of time. Torturer's suit offers moderate protection from bullets and explosions, but this Freedom soldier has a trick to deal with that as well: an artifact belt with five Spring artifacts. The combination of these five artifacts reduces all sort of impact-induced damage. Torturer can swap these belts rather quickly, as they are like five small artifact pouches in a link. However, the process of swapping them should be done in the safety of a cover.

So yeah, here are these two fine stalkers. Also, a hasty B&W background, because lazy the characters contrast better this way.
